One cookie, four notes kept in your browser, and nothing that follows you anywhere.

Most cookie notices are long because the site behind them shares data with dozens of advertising companies. This one is short for the opposite reason. This shop sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies, and nobody else is given space on the page to set one. There is no analytics script, no pixel and no third-party tag anywhere on it.
The cookie that signs you in
There is one, and this is it.

It holds an identifier and nothing else. Your name, your basket and your order history stay on our server; the cookie is only the ticket that points at them. It is marked so that scripts cannot read it and browsers will not send it to other sites, and it travels over HTTPS only.
This one is strictly necessary. There is no version of signing in and buying something that works without it, which is why this page has no button to refuse it: refusing would mean not being able to order.
Signing in to the dashboard sets a second, separate cookie, velmorris.admin.sid. Unless you work here you will never have one.
Notes kept in your browser, which are not cookies
Four small notes are kept in your browser’s own storage rather than in a cookie. The difference matters: these are never sent to us, or to anyone. They sit on your device so the site does not repeat itself.

- Which fragrance you were about to write about, if you sign in partway through
- Pending vote
- Which candidate you chose, for the same reason
- Older addresses
- Addresses saved before accounts existed, kept so they are not lost
Clearing your browser data removes all four. Nothing breaks; the site simply forgets those conveniences.
Fonts
The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them and Google therefore sees that a request was made. No cookie is set by this, and nothing about you or your order is included.
Turning them off
Every browser can block or delete cookies for a site, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking ours means you can still read the shop but not sign in or order, because that cookie is what keeps you signed in from one page to the next.
